I couldn't wait to photography's Katie & Mikes August 30th wedding day for them at the beautiful Esperanza Mansion. The Esperanza Mansion is located just at the Northwest end of Keuka Lake, and thirty minutes South of Canandaigua just out side of Pen Yan, NY. If you have been following my blog I also had the pleasure to photographed Katie's sister Janes wedding back on 3.11.06 at the beautiful Belhurst Castle. These girls are both drop dead naturally gorgeous, as you will see in their images. Click on this link to view slide show: I've been to a lot of weddings over the last 8 years with being a weddng photographer and have heard many different DJ's and live bands play. But I can say I just haven't heard or have seen anything like this band that Katie and Mike had hired before! Nik and The Nice Guys, from Rochester, NY was just amazing. The dance floor was non stop all evening and when the band was suppose to end at 10:00, everyone applauded for more. Nik and his band continue to rock the place down until way after 11:00. Check out their link at Nik Lite

Sylvan Beach, Verona NY on Oneida Lake is just the place to take your boat out and have some fun. You can enjoy the sandy beaches, even dock your boat right up next to the shore and walk on over to the restaurants, we enjoy Harpoon Eddie's. Even though we have had our boat for 2 years now, this is the first time my two boys tyred their hands at water skiing! I on the other hand have not gotton brave enough to even try. The younger boy tired as he might, but could not quite get totally up on his skies....so what does he do next.... well go tubing of course. One of the greatest things about living here in Central NY is that we have the Finger Lakes right here in our back yards with over 9,000 square miles of lakes, hills, villages and vinyards, the many things you can do over the summer and possibilities are endless.

It's been 30 years since my husband and I last attended a Ted Nugent concert. So when we heard that Ted Nugent was up at the New York State Fair for a "free" concert at Chevrolet Court . I just had to jump at the chance to take my big bad boy "Canon 1D Mark III" camera with my 70-200 lens on it on up to the fair again. I kind of have to laugh to my self when I see people using their little ity bitty cell phone camera's at these concerts, cause I know with this camera and lens I am going to capture some amazing images. As Ted would says, "use the big boy and don't play around".
What an amazing weekend for photographing
Erin's and Brett's August 23rd Wedding day. Click here to view a slide show....I have to say you couldn't of asked for any better day here in CNY for photographing a wedding. Plus this wedding was a little bit different for me, it was family and I have to say I really enjoyed this wedding that much more with having the closeness of family and friends just made this wedding day that more special. What an amazing wedding it was, Erin & Brett went all out on this wedding and held their reception at the beautiful Owasco Country Club in Auburn, NY. It doesn't get any better then that. I've posted some of my very favorite images from the day and I have to say Erin's dress was just breath taking. I also had the pleasure of photographing this wedding with a very new friend and a fellow photographer as well. I still can't believe that Tom drove all the way from NJ to be a second shooter with me. Tom had me in stitches all evening not only did I enjoy photographing this wedding with him but, I love meeting and connecting and networking with fellow photographers as well. Tom will be traveling back up again on September 20th to assist again, but this time at a wedding at the beautiful Sheldrak Point Winery.
What's happen in and around CNY? Why the Great New York State Fair, that is! I won 6 tickets to attend the opening day at the fair and sit in on a live broadcast of "Bride Street" a Channel 9 station that airs everyday here in CNY at 10:00 am. How cool was that, I received 6 tickets into the fair, tee shirts, coffee mugs and much more..... and my son and I got to have our picture taken with Carrie Lazaris & Rick Gary. Then I even got a chance to take a few photos of our NYS Governor Paterson. Our 15 year old trying to go for 20 pull up's..... he did 18 and won a nice marine water bottle, if you could do 20 pull up's you would win a marine tee shirt.Out and about Central New York, I just loved this old barn with this great paint job. The sunflower field is located in Camilus, just South of the State Fair.
